The Marauders went to the locker room at half time down 10-0 and rallied in the 3rd quarter but a fumble and turnover at the Katy 9 yard line proved fatal as the Tigers won the game 17-14.
With Katy schools closed for the past week due to Hurricane Ike, the defending State 5A Champion Tigers were able to hold practice three times daily and shook themselves from the doldrums of their 0-2 start. Their defense completely smothered the Marauders running game. Stephen Hopkins had 19 carries but only tallied 47 yards.

Did you notice in the game story the guy used effect instead of AFFECT when quoting coach Erwin? Okay. . .
I though our guys looked a bit 'off', and Katy was inspired. They played a very energetic and passionate game, and they did do the things need to stop our power attack. Just look at the film, learn from it, and keep improving!
